First impressions count! Studies have shown that a home that has been staged will sell faster and often result in a higher selling price.  Staging a home prior to putting it on the market is one of the best ways to set a home apart from the competition. We offer a customized plan to de-clutter and de-personalize rooms, rearrange furniture and offer suggestions for enhanced curb appeal. Our services include a detailed walk-through of the property – after which we provide both you and the homeowners with a comprehensive plan to “stage” each room of the home. 

Implementation of the Staging Plan. If you prefer, after we complete the assessment, we can implement the staging plan. We will carefully edit your belongings (we suggest you start packing early), and place your furniture and accessories so your home looks like a model home!  We will simplify your décor which requires depersonalizing and focusing on the best features.  We use merchandising techniques and low-cost enhancements that can be quickly and easily accomplished.  Remember, only 10% of all purchasers can actually visualize a home’s potential! 

Move-Out Services.  We have partnered with DNS Moving to provide cost-effective moving services for our staging clients. Whether you need to clear out some items prior to staging or schedule a local move, they understand the importance of carefully moving your possessions.  They will provide a reasonable cost estimate for moving items to storage, disposal of furniture or arrange to deliver items for chartiable donations. 

Vacant Home Staging. We maintain a full inventory of furniture, art and accessories. Whether you need a full vacant home staging or the addition of complementary and updated art and accessories call us. We can often update your home for a small investment. 

Curb Appeal Preparation. Does your yard need help? We can provide landscaping resources to provide services such as mulching, trimming and planting. You only have a few seconds for your first impression so make it count!

Color Consultations. Most homeowners have a hard time deciding on a paint color. Let us assist you in finding the perfect color combinations for your home! We can help you eliminate the confusion and indecision. 

Interior Redesign Consultations. After meeting with you in your home we will discuss any design dilemmas you might have and recommend cost-effective changes.  We will analyze your current placement of furniture, art and accessories, and discuss the way your family lives in your home. If you are trying to decide on a color scheme we will bring paint samples for you to view and will help you determine a complimentary color. With the information you furnish and digital photos we take of your rooms, we will provide a plan and a suggested shopping list if necessary. You can complete the changes on your own or schedule us for an interior makeover.

About Us…

Lynn Crawford of A Different View is an HSR Certified Professional Home Stager and Redesigner and has competed the most comprehensive home staging and redesign certification course in the country.  HSR is an accredited staging training course that has  undergone an accreditation process by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), which is the only third-party, governing association for the home staging industry. After spending more than twenty years in the real estate, construction, graphic design and marketing fields, Lynn decided to pursue a career which utilized her love of design and decorating.

Lynn has served for two years as the DC/Maryland Chapter President of the American Society of Home Stagers and Redesigners (ASHSR) and has provided mentoring services to local area stagers. She continually updates her staging and redesign training through national staging and educational organizations.
